The second major championship of the season is in our rear view mirrors and now the Travelers Championship will give some of the lesser known players on the PGA Tour the chance to shine. While many players are resting after the ordeal that was Chamber's Bay, the field at TPC River Highlands will feature a good mix of PGA Tour, Web.com Tour, Canadian Tour, and even Senior Tour members. And if you're keen to see some birdies once again after the drought at Chamber's Bay, you're in luck. The Travelers always stands as one of the lowest scoring affairs on the PGA Tour each year. Last year Kevin Streelman took down a win there with a 15 under par total, 259.

Wimbledon begins this week and Novak Djokovic will be attempting to defend his men's singles title as well as do away with the demons he encountered losing his French Open final in the year's second Grand Slam event. Serena Williams will be attempting to win her third Grand Slam event in a row and she is favoured on the women's side. Maria Sharapova is also in the mix despite not winning a title at Wimbledon since all the way back in 2004.

There have already been a few upsets in this year's Women's World Cup, but the majority of the power houses are still standing in the quarter-finals. Team USA will be taking on China as large favourites on the money-line, Canada will be favourites over England when they play at BC Place in Vancouver, Australia will be trying to complete another upset when they take on Japan, and Germany will take on France in what will likely be the most impressive game of the quarter-finals. Canadian football fans can finally get back into action as the CFL kicks off on the 25th of June. Last year's Grey Cup winners, the Calgary Stampeders, are favoured to win the cup once again this year, but the Edmonton Eskimos are not that far behind them on the odds table. Despite questions about Travis Lulay and his health, the BC Lions are still considered to be a threat and should Ricky Ray stay healthy as well, the Toronto Argonauts will also have a shot.

UFC Fight Night 70 will take place on Saturday June 25th, in Florida with a headlining fight featuring middleweights Lyoto Machida and Yoel Romero. While Machida has had a long and successful MMA career filled with decision victories and extensive winning stretches, Romero has had a relatively short career that has mirrored his fighting style. He has won nine out of the ten fights that he's competed in during his foray into mixed martial arts and he's knocked out 89% of his opponents.
