Chad Kelly (-225)
Currently the resounding favourite to claim the 2023 Most Outstanding Player award, Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly has been phenomenal since being handed the top spot in the Argos depth chart.
Having passed for 2,016 yards and 13 touchdowns in eight games played, it’s easy to see why he has risen so far up the odds table for this years league MOP. The driving force behind the high-octane offence of the Argonauts, Kelly has made magic on multiple occasions this season, whether it be through the air or on the ground.
Averaging 5.86 yards per carry to go along with five additional rushing touchdowns, Kelly has been superb this season. Having led his Argos to an outstanding 7-1 start including six-straight wins to begin their 2023 campaign, Kelly is poised to continue his domination over the league, further adding to his sensational seasons stats.
While it may not be the juciest line, Kelly is a safe bet to take home the 2023 MOP award as long as he is able to remain within the Argos lineup. At -225 you can still redeem some value from this futures betting market as the 29-year-old passer looks to cement his spot in the upper-echelon of the CFL.
Zach Collaros (+250)
Having won back-to-back MOP awards in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros is no stranger to bringing home hardware at the conclusion of the regular season.
Continuing to dismantle opposing defences with ease, Collaros is on pace to best his stats from his previous award-winning season, poised for career-highs in completions and passing yards.
With his Blue Bombers squad once again looking like bonafide Grey Cup contenders, look for the veteran QB to continue leading the way for his team, putting forth exceptional performances along the way as they make a deep run in the postseason.
At +250 there is fantastic value around the two-time MOP recipient. With the Blue Bombers currently in command of the Western Conference, if they are able to pull ahead of the Argonauts in the league standings then Collaros could easily usurp Kelly for the top contender in the 2023 MOP race.
Vernon Adams Jr. (+1000)
A sizeable underdog in the 2023 CFL MOP race that could be worth investing in, BC Lions dual-threat quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. may play his way toward his first taste of CFL stardom.
After taking the helm of the Lions offence this season, Adams Jr. done a fantastic job at providing his team with ample scoring drives. Running up the score against defences with his terrific passing skillset as well as his electrifying speed on the ground, Adams Jr. is one of the toughest players to stop in the CFL.
With his Lions squad looking like legitimate contenders for the 2023 Grey Cup, if Adams Jr. can remain healthy after experiencing some minor setbacks earlier this season, he could easily play his way further into the MOP discussion.
At +1000, Adams Jr. is worth sprinkling some funds on, able to net you a sizeable payday off a small wager size. Set yourself up for a massive payday when you back Adam Jr. to claim the 2023 MOP award and watch as the longtime CFLer vaults his way up the odds table.
2023 Grey Cup Odds
|Winnipeg Blue Bombers||+200|
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Ontario as of August 15th, 2023)
Toronto Argonauts (+175)
After making the most of their favourable early season schedule, the Toronto Argonauts have found themselves holding the best record in the CFL through Week 10. With no signs of slowing down, the Argonauts are rightfully the leading favourites to capture the 2023 Grey Cup.
Looking to win the franchises first back-to-back Grey Cups since the 1996-97 seasons, the Argos have brandished an exciting playstyle that could just lead them back to the promised land.
Scoring at an astounding rate, the offence of the Argonauts appears nearly unstoppable. Averaging a whopping 33.5 points per game, they have had no trouble finding the back of the end zone in 2023. Coupling this with a solid defensive front, the Argos could easily find themselves back in the Grey Cup game as they cruise through the weak Eastern Conference.
At +175 there is still great value to take advantage of at this point in the season. Ride the hot hand and win big with the best bet to capture the 2023 Grey Cup, the Toronto Argonauts.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+200)
Making the Grey Cup game has become a yearly tradition for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and this season appears to be no different. Having gone on to represent the Western Conference in three-consecutive seasons, the Blue Bombers appear poised to once again compete for the top prize in Canadian football.
Sporting largely the same core that helped bring them to championship glory in 2019 and 2021, the Blue Bombers are once again looking like a force to be reckoned with in the CFL. Continuing to build upon their recent dominance, the Bombers have been able to crush opposition on both sides of the field.
With an all-around roster that is chock-full of depth, the Blue Bombers are an experience, driven, and disciplined football club that could easily find themselves back on top of the CFL by the culmination of this season. At +200 you can secure a terrific return for your midseason futures wager placed on the Blue Bombers as they hunt for their third Grey Cup win in four seasons.
BC Lions (+370)
Rounding out the clear-cut top three contenders vying for the 2023 Grey Cup title, the BC Lions are a fantastic group possessing amazing upside. Sporting arguably the best defence in the league as well as a potent offence, the Lions may find themselves back in the Grey Cup final for the first time since winning the league championship in 2011.
With a fan-base hungry to get back to the top of the CFL, the Lions have bullied lesser competition throughout 2023. With their only losses coming at the hands of the aforementioned Argonauts and Blue bombers, the Lions could easily vault their way up the Grey Cup odds table with bounce back showings against these teams during the regular season.
At +370, the Lions are certainly worth keeping on your radar as they continue to push themselves toward the top of the league standings and back into Grey Cup contention.
