CFL Week 6 Expert ATS Picks & Predictions

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (-2.5)

After managing to capture their first victory of the season at the expense of the Ottawa Redblacks, it’s only fitting that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats begin their first winning streak as they best the Edmonton Elks to kickoff Week 6.

Facing a winless Elks squad that simply hasn’t been able to produce reliable offence all season long, look for the Tiger-Cats to overpower the struggling team on the road.

While the Ti-Cats are certainly far from a juggernaut in the CFL this year, they do have a strong upside when they’re able to get into rhythm and move the chains. Behind a strong running game led by James Butler, as well as the emergence of Matthew Shiltz in the absence of Bo Levi Mitchell, the offence of the Ti-Cats will run rampant on Thursday evening.

Back the favoured Tiger-Cats to takedown the Elks, continuing their winning ways as the Elks drop to 0-6 to start their 2023 campaign.

Toronto Argonauts (-4.5)

Poised to continue their unbeaten streak to begin their season, look for the Toronto Argonauts to put a shellacking on the Montreal Alouettes in this weeks action.

After picking up a dominant win over league powerhouse, the BC Lions in their last time out, the Argonauts have demonstrated that they are firmly in place to compete for back-to-back Grey Cup victories. Currently leading the league with a whopping 40 points scored per game, no team in the league seems to have an answer to the Argos high-octane offence.

The Argonauts have largely benefitted from schedule-makers early on this season, having had plenty of rest and recovery time as they are the only team to have played fewer than four games.

Set to beat their conference rival Montreal Alouettes from pillar-to-post, bank on the Argonauts to remain perfect as they move onto a 4-0 start to this season, covering the 4.5-point spread in the process.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers (-9.5)

Looking to string together yet another impressive regular season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are sure to steamroll the Ottawa Redblacks in the first leg of Saturdays doubleheader.

Having taken the win by double digits in all three of their victories so far this season, look for this trend to continue for the Blue Bombers in this weekends clash. Facing a developing Redblacks team that has struggled to maintain health in their QB room, look for the experienced squad to take advantage of their battered and bruised opponents, pulling away on the scoreboard early on into the contest.

Back the Blue Bombers to defeat the Redblacks by 10 points or more, scoring you a juicy payday with this ATS pick.

Calgary Stampeders (+1.5)

Set to cap off Week 6 of the CFL season, ride alongside the underdog Calgary Stampeders as they get back into the win column against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Looking to repay the favour after being dealt a home loss of their own against the Roughriders in Week 3, the Stampeders are out for revenge in enemy territory this Saturday. In an equally contested clash, the Stampeders will look to rely on star running back Dedrick Mills to carry his team to victory.

While the favoured Roughriders may look great on paper, their record is certainly a tad inflated. After coming away with a one-point win after a mental lapse on the side of the Elks last week, the Roughriders 3-1 record definitely doesn’t hold the same value as other teams in the league.

Hoping to settle the score early on this season, back the Stampeders to even the season series with the Roughriders, claiming the road win and covering the thin point-spread as a result.
