Calgary Flames: To Win the Pacific Division (+190)

Looking to claim back-to-back Pacific division championships for the first time since 1994-95, the Calgary Flames are ready for another Stanley Cup run this season with their new-look squad.

After the blockbuster trade this offseason that sent Matt Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers, the Flames received standout players Johnathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weeger as well as Cole Scwhindt and a conditional 2025 first-round pick.

With these new additions to the team the Flames roster has gotten even deeper and are looking like the team to beat within their division. Dominant last season, the Flames controlled their division and will likely repeat this performance in 2022-23.

Back the Flames to win the Pacific division at great value and win big on this NHL futures wager.

Edmonton Oilers: Over 103.5 Team Points (-115)

While we expect the Calgary Flames to be the best team in their division, the Edmonton Oilers will be nipping at their heels all season long and as set to have another successful campaign this year.

Whenever you have two of the best players in the world on the same team, the wins will always come in. Last season the Oilers superstar duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were absolutely phenomenal once again with both forwards putting up well over 100 points on the year.

With their spectacular play likely to continue into this season, another major factor in the Oilers team success will be credited to the acquisition of goaltender Jack Campbell. Campbell was acquired in the offseason after spending the past three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs and showcased his top-level play that will help elevate the Oilers biggest weakness on their roster and secure them several victories as a result.

Don’t sleep on McDavid and the Oilers, bet the Over on the Oilers total team points in the 2022-23 NHL season.

Montreal Canadiens: Over 72.5 Team Points (-115)

Not entering into this season with lofty expectations, the Montreal Canadiens are primed and ready to shock NHL fans and exceed their projected team points this season.

Looked at as one of the bottom-feeders of the Eastern Conference, the Habs are a young and exciting team with several explosive playmakers ready to quickly rebuild them into playoff hopefuls. With talents such as Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and the first-overall pick in the 2022 NHL entry draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, the upside potential for the Canadiens is sky-high.

The Habs still need some much needed maintenance done in regards to their defence and goaltending units but their explosive offence will be enough to propel them Over their projected team point total this season.

Ottawa Senators: Under 86.5 Team Points (-115)

One of the most promising young teams in the NHL, expectations need to be tempered for the Ottawa Senators in the 2022-23 season. Moving in the right direction, the Sens brought in longtime NHL great Claude Giroux this offseason, as well as improved their young-core by adding top goal-scorer Alex DeBrincat.

There’s no doubt that this team will be better than they were a season ago, but there are still several holes in the Senators roster that will have them struggling to maintain wins. With thin-depth at the centre position as well as low talent levels on the defensive end and in the crease, the Senators will need to use their high scoring offence to win games as their opposition easily skates through their weak defence.

The Sen’s are going to be a fun team to watch this season but don’t get caught up in they hype. Give them time to build chemistry and success and go from there, until then take the Under on the Senators team points total this season.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Auston Matthews Over 57.5 Goals (-115)

Registering a jaw dropping 60-goals last season, Auston Matthews has shown no signs of slowing down and will be ready to replicate his outstanding play by hitting the Over on his projected goals scored.

Only getting better with time, Matthews has established himself in the upper-echelon of NHL goal scorers not just in the modern-day but in the history of the game. At only 25-years-old Matthews is only going to keep elevating his play to new heights and reaching incredible goal totals as a result.

Playing on a Toronto Maple Leafs squad that will largely rely on their high-powered offence to win them games this season, look for the Leafs to be in high scoring shootouts with Matthews being a part of many of the teams scoring opportunities.

Matthews looks more than ready to keep carving out his legacy in the NHL, back the young superstar to keep up his amazing goal scoring and take the Over on his goal total.

Vancouver Canucks: Thatcher Demko to Win the Vezina Trophy (+1800)

One of the most underrated netminders in the NHL, Thatcher Demko is a fantastic sleeper pick for anyone looking to wager on the Vezina Trophy winner this season.

One of the smartest goalies in the league, Demko is rarely caught out of position thanks to his high hockey IQ. Always contorting himself in the best possible way to stop any incoming shots or to allow himself to fly across the crease for the acrobatic save, Demko has tremendous puck stopping abilities.

Playing on a strong Vancouver Canucks squad, Demko will get plenty of starts this year and will likely have one of the highest win totals in the NHL, something that has historically been valued incredibly high in Vezina voting.

Get in on the ground floor and place a bet on Demko to walkaway with the top goalie honours this season as he helps continue the Canucks recent string of success.

Winnipeg Jets: To Make the Playoffs (+180)

Coming off a disappointing lacklustre season last year, the Winnipeg Jets are ready to bounce back and play their way back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

It wasn’t long ago that the Jets were competing at the top-level of the NHL and looked like promising Stanley Cup contenders. While they never lived up to these expectations, this Jets squad is still loaded with talent that will have them back in the postseason.

From top to bottom the Jets are one of the deepest rosters constructed in the NHL and will have great success in their division this season. With a new coaching staff lead by Rick Bowness, look for the Jets to enter this season rejuvenated and flip the NHL world on its head.

The Jets are the real deal, back them to rise up the ranks of the Central division and return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2020-21 season.
